Our governors bring an invaluable range of experience and expertise to the College, including education, business, property, IT, finance and corporate affairs/public relations, as well as personal experience of, or an interest in, visual impairment.
Board members, who are all volunteers, also include a staff governor and a student governor. The role of the governors is to oversee the strategic direction of the College, to safeguard the funds and assets in our care and to ensure the quality of education and experience offered to our students. Together they make a vital contribution to the ongoing development of RNC.
There are four sub-committees of the board (Finance, Development & Commercial, Education & Training, Audit & Assurance and the Search Committee). In addition to being on the main board, each governor serves on at least one of these committees, in line with their particular skills and experience.
