11:00 to 15:30 TPT Hub, London TPT's STEP Together event is designed to support blind and partially sighted students as they prepare for their next stage to further or higher education. It offers an opportunity for students to build connections, develop key skills and gain practical advice to help them feel confident and ready for the transition ahead. The day consists of: - a workshop from TPT's Advice Service outlining the key steps to take for a smooth transition into further or higher education. - a live Q&A panel with TPT's Young Voices and Student Voices, giving students the chance to hear directly from peers who have already made the transition. - a session around all things accessibility led by George Rhodes and Ben Watson from AllAble, showcasing tools and strategies to enhance productivity, learning and independence. To make the day as accessible and enjoyable as possible: - sighted guides will be available to support students travelling to and from local stations to the TPT Hub. - travel expenses will be subsidised to ease the cost of attending. - lunch will be provided for all attendees. STEP Together is a valuable day for any blind or partially sighted student considering their future in education and an excellent way to connect with others who share similar experiences. Spaces are limited. To register and find out more please visit Student Transitions - Thomas Pocklington Trust.
