preparing them for future academic and professional pursuits.
Claire Lewin, Director of Learning and Curriculum (Curriculum and Teaching Strategy), said:
'We are absolutely delighted with this year's Level 2/GCSE results. A 100% pass rate across so many varied and important subjects speaks volumes about the hard work, resilience, and commitment of our students. It also reflects the dedication and expertise of our teaching and support staff, who consistently go above and beyond to provide a truly accessible and enriching learning experience.'
Dominic Tlustochowicz, a 20-year-old from Cornwall, has attended the College for the past four years. He's leaving with a range of qualifications that will support his independence, as well as vocational qualifications in Sport, Business, Gym Instructing, and Health and Social Care. He was particularly proud to earn a Distinction* in the OCR Level 2 Cambridge Technical Diploma in Business.
During his time at the College, Dominic was fully engaged in student life. He served as a Student Ambassador and achieved both his Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh Awards. Reflecting on his experience, Dominic said:
'Being at RNC has been amazing. There have been so many opportunities that I never thought I'd have, like going abroad to Spain and Germany. Being able to experience education without teaching assistants, with everyone working at the same level, was empowering.'
Dominic is now moving on to a supported internship with Cornwall Council.

These results not only celebrate individual student achievements but also reinforce RNC's position as a leading specialist college, providing life-changing education and opportunities for young people who are blind or partially sighted. The qualifications gained will serve as a strong foundation, opening doors to further education, employment, and greater independence.
