Healthcare Support for Trainees
RNC has an established Wellbeing Team on campus to provide daily support to students with medical, personal and emotional wellbeing needs.
As part of our Pre-Entry Assessment process, you will have the opportunity to meet with the medical and wellbeing teams to discuss your personal requirements. These discussions (and those with your parents, family or carers) will help identify if you require any additional support during your time with us.
Nurses and Medical Needs
Our team of highly experienced Registered Nurses oversee medical support and provision for all students at RNC. Their role is very much tailored to each specific student, including:
- Medication management
- Running daily student surgeries
- Helping students develop the confidence to independently manage their own health care needs
- Liaising with home area health professionals
- Access to local NHS services
We understand that dealing with sight loss or a disability in any stage of life can lead to some emotional issues and stress. At RNC we offer an on-site British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) accredited counselling service. This service enables you to access emotional and mental health support within a safe and confidential setting. From understanding the stresses of studying to helping to deal with personal issues, our team is on hand.
