Early-bird tickets on sale for Blind Euros 2015

Don’t miss out on an exciting opportunity to witness one of the country’s finest sporting events since the London 2012 Paralympics! The first round of tickets for the IBSA Blind Football European Championships 2015 goes on sale from Monday 15 December. The tournament is set to take place at The Royal National College for the Blind (RNC), Hereford in August.
With tickets at a low price, all the family can enjoy the spectacle and cheer on the home team, England. The venue is accessible for all and provides a fun summer’s day out with food stalls and stadium seating. Kicking off with the England v Poland game following the opening ceremony on Saturday 22 August, matches are grouped into sessions. Session tickets are £5 each, with two sessions taking place per day until the final.
The Blind Euros offers an amazing opportunity to watch skilled footwork, great goals and inspirational sportsmen. As one of the largest Parasport events in the country, the Blind Euros 2015 will be highly charged, with the top two finishing teams gaining a place in the Rio 2016 Paralympics. Following the Japan Blind World Cup in November, every team is in a position to compete for the honours.
As officially drawn by the President of the International Paralympic Committee, Sir Philip Craven MBE in November, Group A is led by England, the home team for the tournament, and also comprises Turkey, Germany, Italy and newcomers Poland. Reigning champions Spain (ranked number one in Europe) are joined by France, Russia, Greece and tournament first-timers Belgium in Group B.
Dave Clarke, former England and Team GB blind football captain, talked about his hopes for Rio: “There has been a lot of effort gone into creating blind football as a formidable sport. It’s vital that not just Hereford but the whole country gets behind the Euros in 2015. Let’s give our own team a fantastic chance of winning not just this tournament but also the Paralympics in Rio.”
The 10th IBSA Blind Football European Championships take place between 22 and 29 August 2015 at thePoint4, RNC’s fully accessible and multi-purpose sports facility. Early-bird tickets can only be bought through the event website, Please select this link to purchase tickets
