A ‘Grand’ Day Out at Hereford Beer Festival

The 32nd Charity Beer Festival at The Barrels in Hereford in full swing

A huge thank you to The Barrels Formation Drinking Team who kindly donated £1,000 to the College from the proceeds of their fundraising Beer Festival on August Bank Holiday.

The Team raise a lot of money for charity, in particular, through their annual beer festival held at The Barrels pub in Hereford. The Festival is now in its 32nd year and, this year, raised an astonishing £20,000 which is shared with many local charities. This is the first time the College has been chosen by the Team and we are very excited to be the recipient of £1,000 which can do so much to enhance the work of the College.

Chris Combe, the RNC’s Commercial Manager, was presented with a cheque for £1,000 at the Beer Festival and said,

‘It was such an amazing event and really heart-warming to be on the receiving end of such generosity.’

Frankie Devereux, the College’s Fundraising Manager, said,

‘On behalf of the College, I would like to express my huge gratitude to the Barrels Formation Drinking Team for supporting our blind and visually impaired (VI) students at this year’s Beer Festival. Our students will benefit enormously from this generous donation which will enable us to continue providing life-changing services for young people.”

RNC relies on donations to continue its life changing work. Every pound raised makes a difference and the College is always very grateful to receive donations, large or small, that will help contribute to providing equipment, resources and opportunities for RNC students, today and in the future.
