07/06/2023 00:00:00 Join The Courtyard and Herefordshire Voluntary Organisations Support Service (HVOSS) this Volunteers' Week to celebrate, recognise and be inspired to share your time and skills in Herefordshire.

The Courtyard, in collaboration with HVOSS, will host a Volunteers' Fair on Wednesday 7 June from 4-7pm.

With over 30 local charities and organisations exhibiting including the Royal National College for the Blind, this is the perfect opportunity to explore volunteering options from across the county. With everything from ad-hoc, responsive volunteering opportunities to traditional longer-term vacancies, opportunities for younger volunteers and corporate volunteering options; there is something for everyone.

National Volunteers' Week takes places from Thursday 1 to Wednesday 7 June. Volunteers' Week is an annual celebration of the contribution millions of people make across the UK through volunteering in their communities. Over the past year, HVOSS have recorded over 49,000 volunteered hours across the county as part of their Count Your Hours campaign. This figure is just a small proportion of the number of hours that are given each year, evidencing the ever-increasing need for volunteers in our communities.
