10/1/2022 12:00:00 AM
Wolfram Syndrome, also called DIDMOAD (Diabetes Insipidus, Diabetes Mellitus, Optic Atrophy and Deafness), is a rare genetic disorder causing the four conditions that make up the name, as well as various other possible disorders.
Wolfram Syndrome UK (WSUK)
have collaborated with other Wolfram Syndrome patient organisations around the world to hold Wolfram Syndrome Global Awareness Day.
The aim of the day is to raise awareness in both the medical world and to the general public about Wolfram Syndrome, a progressive euro-degenerative genetic condition that affects 1 in 770,000 people in the UK.
