Student Meme Robertson, presents cheque to the Little Princess Trust
In early June, student, Meme Robertson organised a charity car wash and raffle, with help and support from fellow students.
Meme wanted to raise funds for two charities - The Royal National College for the Blind (RNC) and the Little Princess Trust. The day was a great success with over 40 cars going through the car wash and, along with the raffle, raised an impressive £416.
The funds were split equally between the two charities and Meme recently presented the cheque to Kim Musson, representing the Little Princess Trust, saying:
'The Little Princess Trust is a great local charity helping young people, like RNC does. We had a lot of fun running the car wash and got a lot of students involved which was great to see.'
On receiving the cheque, Kim said:
'Huge thanks to everyone who took part at RNC ... the funds raised will go towards real hair wigs for young people in need and research into childhood cancers.'
Picture below shows (L-R): Amanda Wallis, RNC staff member who supported the car wash, and Meme Robertson presenting a cheque for £208 to Kim Musson
