The heat is on!
A big toasty thank you to the warm hearted staff at Worcester Bosch head office for their early Christmas present for RNC, replacing three 'end of life' boilers in the lodges on its campus which house some of the charity's staff.
This has saved the charity several thousands of pounds at a time when funds are really tight due to additional costs and lost income as a result of the ongoing pandemic. RNC relies on the goodwill and generosity of individuals as well as local and national businesses like Worcester Bosch to support its vital education work with young visually impaired people.
'We're very grateful to Worcester Bosch for stepping in and donating boilers to support urgent replacements in some of our offices, especially during the winter time,' says Lucy Proctor, Executive Principal. 'The pandemic has hit charities like us hard so budget for this sort of work is in short supply. The fact that their team stepped in so quickly and generously is a testament to their great community support and we thank them very much!'
Carl Arntzen, CEO of Worcester Bosch, said:
'We were delighted to help out - the charity works tirelessly on behalf of young visually impaired people and it was important for us to ensure their staff stay warm, to enable them to keep the support going during these tough times.
