Teacher wins award for contribution to 'Back to Netball' coaching
A Royal National College for the Blind teacher and coach has been recognised for her significant contribution to Netball coaching.
Anna Robertson, who is a Sport and Recreation Teacher and Sports Academy Coach at the College, won the West Midlands Netball Coach of the Year: Adults award, on Friday 20 May at the Netball West Midlands One Awards 2022 held at Aston Villa Park.
The award recognised Anna's outstanding contribution to community Netball and how she has made an impact on the lives of players beyond team successes.
Anna has reintroduced hundreds of women back into the sport and has set up four teams through the Back to Netball initiative, which all play in the Herefordshire Netball League.
Anna will now represent the West Midlands at the National One Awards, sponsored by Vitality, at the end of the year.
Congratulations, Anna!
